American Teen Idols Competition

American Teen Idols is holding a singing competition at the Henderson Events Plaza Amphitheatre. In addition to performing, each contestant will walk the red carpet, where they will be interviewed and photographed. Henderson Live: Serenades of Life ‘Doctors in Concert’


Henderson Live: Serenades of Life ‘Doctors in Concert’ – Enjoy an evening of musical performances by local physicians, medical professionals and friends. The Serenades of Life – Doctors in Concert will feature genres from rock & roll to opera. As Southern Nevada’s largest non-profit hospice program, the Foundation relies on the support and generosity of individuals and corporate partners to ensure that quality care and compassionate support are always available to medically appropriate patients, and families, regardless of access to insurance, or ability to pay.

This wonderful event is held by the Nathan Adelson Hospice.

CAR PARTICIPATION INFORMATION
Calling all classic car owners! It’s that time of year to polish the chrome, shine the tires and tune up your Deuce Coupe, Mustang or GTO. The Las Vegas Cruisin’ Association is accepting applications for the 11th annual Super Run Classic Car Show in Henderson.

The event is open to all years, makes and models of classic vehicles including vintage, street and classic cars, as well as hot rods, muscle cars, street rods, competition vehicles and customs. Early registration is $50 before September 15, 2010. Car participants will receive an event T-shirt, commemorative dash plaque, event ball cap, vehicle credential, participation in ALL automotive activities and preferred parking to have their vehicles displayed in the Show & Shine Competition.

Participants will have the opportunity to display their classic car or truck for the four-day event, as well as compete in the slow drags, roaring engines and burn-out contests. Over $15,000 in cash prizes and 260 awards will be given to car show participants.You still have time to enter your classic car or hot rod vehicle into the Super Run Classic Car Show.

With a flexible cast size, featuring roles for children and a tour-de-force role in the title character.

The Village Las Vegas hosts a full day of festivities for the whole family to celebrate Independence Day, including face painting, a balloon artist, coloring contest and much more.

The City of Henderson’s Fourth of July celebration will be a star-spangled evening with a variety of family-friendly events, live entertainment and a fabulous fireworks show on Sunday, July 4 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Basic High School football field, 400 N. Palo Verde Drive. Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. Admission is free but some activities may require paid admission.

Station Casinos fireworks
Continuing its 4th of July tradition, five Station Casinos’ properties will host the largest 4th of July fireworks show in Southern Nevada on Sunday, July 4 around 8:45 p.m. for the entire community to enjoy. The nine-minute fireworks show, named “Station Casinos’ 4th of July Blast” will be in celebration of the nation’s 234th birthday and will be featured at Aliante Station, Green Valley Ranch resort, Fiesta Rancho and Texas Station as a shared location and Red Rock Resort.

Clark County Pools
Residents can enjoy free swimming at all pools and water parks from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 4. Laughlin Water Park and Overton Pool will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Indian Springs is open from 1 to 5 p.m.

Clark County Shooting Park
All Active Duty, Retired, Reserves and National Guard members of the US military can enjoy a complementary round of trap or skeet at the shooting park at 11357 North Decatur Blvd.
