About:
As a budget savvy wife and mother of 3 children I am always looking for great deals for my family. We love the brand name clothes, but not the brand name prices. After much planning with my husband we decided to open KID AROUND! It is important to us to make the store a place where we would shop ourselves- a place that emphasizes quality, cleanliness, and great prices, with a kid friendly environment.
My family and I moved to Las Vegas from Chicago in May of 2007. My family includes my wonderful husband Joe, his children David, Nicole, Joey, his grandson Austin, and our children together, Ketrin, Antonio and Michael.
Convincing my husband to open KID AROUND was not difficult with him having 6 Children and 1 grandson.
Both of us worked on all the details of the store together each having our strengths which complemented the other’s weaknesses. Joe is a carpenter by trade which made the build-out and designing of our store very easy. My tailoring experience and uncanny ability to spot a stain a mile away makes amazingly clean merchandise in our store.
The story of KID AROUND
Our move to Las Vegas was not an easy decision! Joe was born and raised in the Chicago area and has 3 children, David, Nicole, and Joey. Moving away from them made this decision very difficult, not to mention leaving his newly born grandson Austin. Myself, being born and raised in Europe, moved to America only 4 short years ago. Joe planned to start up new construction company and I would pursue a career related to my degree. But, after brainstorming it hit me like a lighting bolt. KID AROUND was founded and everything fell into place with help from family and our council women Lois Tarkanian, 1st ward of the city of Las Vegas. without their help, this never would of happened. KID AROUND partially opened August of 2007. We are now approaching our 1 year anniversary, which in any business is a good start during these rough times in our economy. Good time to consider buying resale if you never have.
